Founded in October 2020
As someone born from a lineage subjected to working lands, I’ve been wanting to bring underrepresented voices into the botanical sphere for some time. So, with great enthusiasm I launched the Center for Plants & Culture.
The Center for Plants & Culture is an online platform educating visitors on the many ways our politics, economics, and culture are shaped by nature. With a focus on Black, Brown, and Indigenous voices, Plants & Culture provides an inclusive learning experience that encourages critical thinking and self-reflection.
