In an attempt to reference the pitfalls of colonial efforts to usurp land and resources, I set out on a mission to own a boulder. The mission failed.
While driving with the newly acquired boulder, the weight of the slab smashed the wood palette and broke through its restraints. The unsteady boulder became increasingly more dangerous as it began to rock the truck back-and-forth. With my life at risk, the mission quickly evolved into me returning the boulder to the natural landscape and out of my Budget rental.
